I was wondering what is the best Submariner look alike. My next watch will probably be a submariner look alike, but I want your input on this. I know there's an Invicta that is around 300$, is there any other one that would be good quality and look like the submariner?

I like the Invicta 8926OB, can be had for under $100and is very solid with a Miyota movement. I have one I wear for work as an appliance technician and it holds up very well

If you want an everyday look alike, you can't go wrong with the Invicta ProDiver, hands down !! $79.99

I checked around and looks like theres different model of the Invicta Pro drive range from 49$ to 300$ for the 9937 Model 9937. Someone knows the difference. All I know is one has the grass back and I was reading somewhere they said the bracelet was better on the more expensive model

The 8926 has a Citizen Miyota 8215 mvmt'. The 9937 has a Swiss ETA 2824 mvmt'.
The magnification on the 9937 will be stronger (2.5x as opposed to 1.5X on the 8926) I'd imagine the 9937 is heavier than the 8926. The bracelet seems more beefy. I'm sure others will chime in & point out other differences. |

Thx Jeff, I was thinking of getting the 9937, I'm thinking of getting it when I go to Vegas. Just need to find a spot where I can get a good deal.

Nice I didn't think about the Debeaufre. I might go with that instead of Invicta.

Actually, you can get the Steiny version a little cheaper than the Debaufre. Both are nice watches--very well made (Swiss!) and look very much like a Rollie.

They're two separate companies that used to under the same roof; Debaufre has North America, Steinhart the rest of the world. The Debaufre Ocean-1 is $465; the Steiny (at Gnomon Watches, banner below) is $420. You can also get Steiny from their German website, but the price fluctuates depending on the exchange rate with the Euro.
