Default star watch case company

To start, heres a link to some of the companies history.
http://www.northernpartners.com/star_watch_case.htm

Star made watch cases for a number of companies, including Longines,Bulova,
Lacoultre and Omegas speedmaster.
My side of the family is from Ludington Mi.
During new years this year, one of my relatives brought over her late fathers
technical drawings for these companies. These are original and exact.
Companies would contract with Star to produce the entire watch.Companies would send the movements and crowns so Star could make the cases and install the movements, then send back the completed watch.
All photos are 1024x768 to show complete drawings,so please excuse the size.

That is a really neat little peak into your family history there! I love the detail in those drawings, they really pinpoint the level of detail and artistry that goes into the production of watches. It's kind of sad that most of these days the majority of designs are probably all just coded into a software program and the dimensions are all set up that way. Kind of takes the heart and feeling out of the whole process.... Really good stuff there though !

Default star watch case co.

My name is Gerhard Schwaibold Jr. My grandfather and Great Uncle Carl and Edgar Schwaibold owned star watch case at the time these drawings were made. I would love to get some copies of these and any other information you would be willing to share. I don't have alot of family history form that side of my family.
Thanks !

First - welcome to the forum Gary. Nice to have you here.

Second - as this thread was started almost a year ago, you might want to
send
yamahaki a PM with your request. Just in case he doesn't happen to look
into this thread.
