Question Too many?

I just discovered that I was supposed to provide a maximum of five photos, and I uploaded about twice that much. What do you suggest, shall I pick my favorite five and remove the rest?

I think most of us enjoyed the photos.

How about keeping this thread as a status update thread with all the wonderful photos and updates from all the different places and I start another thread just for the contest entries ?

Ok, I created another thread just for photo submissions: http://bdwf.net/forum/showthread.php?p=554425

So, it will be strictly 5 photos over there and we will keep this thread here as a discussion/update thread.

Feel free to post more photos here.

I'm about to post my five competition photos in the other, dedicated thread, but I can't make up my mind. I have decided on the three from the command bridge, and probably the closeup of the watch, but the last one is hard. Any suggestion? Or would that be cheating?

The watch has reached sunny Singapore.

Now I have to plan for the weekend...

PS: that's a depth gauge that is part of the diving kit along with the Zlatoust Diver.

I am happy it reached its destination without mishap, and I am at the edge of my seat with respect to the upcoming weekend!

A visit to Marina Barrage

Built across the mouth of the Marina Channel, the Marina Barrage creates Singapore’s 15th reservoir, and the first in the heart of the city. With a catchment area of 10,000 hectares, or one-sixth the size of Singapore, the Marina catchment is the island’s largest and most urbanised catchment. Together with two other new reservoirs, the Marina Reservoir will boost Singapore’s water catchment from half to two-thirds of the country’s land area.

As I make my way up to sky garden..

The city skyline, with the latest addition, Marina Bay Sands.

The other half of the skyline, with Singapore Flyer at the background.

That's me on the top of the sky garden

At the sky garden, it's a beautiful sight with families flying kites.

Trying to pose with the watch

My submissions for the contest.

"Stopping" the Singapore Flyer

Now look over there, construction is still on-going.

An experimental shot which turns out great !

Staring out at the sea and the watch calms you down, removing all the stress from the world.

It's the end of the day, time for a rest.

Hope you enjoy the photos of sunny Singapore. Credits to my wife, Geraldine, the photographer of the day.

Great photos, R007!

Your city was featured on last weeks' television episode of The Amazing Race here in the States.

The Marina Barrage and the Singapore Flyer were key locations.

Thanks for sharing those shots!

Very nice! I was there last summer for a conference, and had a guided tour at the Marina Barrage and a number of other facilities that supply fresh water to Singapore. A fascinating city and country, and very friendly people.

Thanks, I hope everybody enjoyed the photos, despite the Barrage opening in late 2008, it's my first time there.

And I didn't watch that TV series "Amazing Race", but I remember vaguely it was mentioned on 1 of their TV trailers.
