Well, I'm happy with mine. I got mine, second hand, from GuitarAddict, who stopped by my store today to hand-deliver it to me:

It's got the goofy Vostok shaky-crown, the bracelet isn't as uncomfortable as my last one (a round-case scuba-dude) and the dial is exceptional. A big thanks to vejarmr2 for making this happen.

Don't get me wrong; it's a nice watch; I was just curious.

Thanks for everything you did to make this happen

The vostok factory is famous for using whats available. Arrow hands were requested but the factory ultimately makes the final decision based on whats available. Amphibias can have both arrow or straight hands.

I do apologize if any of you are unhappy with the finished product. I tried my best and ultimately put in my own money to make this happen, $3.50 papypal fee for every payment rcvd ($85.00)

Dang that's a nice one. Wish I'd had the cash to grab one.

Any chance of another order someday?

I would like to try for a black version in 2011.

Although I decided to turn my watch, it wasn't because of any concerns with quality and I certainly wasn't unhappy with it. It was my first exposure to the brand and, in fact, I was pleasantly surprised to find I liked it very much.

Waiting for it was a bit frustrating at times but that was beyond your control. I do appreciate the effort you put into it. This situation shows how the guy who sticks his neck out to try and do something nice sometimes takes a little grief for it. Thanks again for putting it together for all of us.

Chris

I crossed my fingers that it would arrive in time for my late vacation but unfortunately the mailman didn't bring it today, so I'm leaving without it. I'm currently hesitating what watch to bring, but I'm leaning towards one of my other amphibians. I'll be back in two weeks with a nice tan and hopefully the forum watch in the mail.
