Default MY WIFE !!!

My wife forgot to pick my un-known package up from thr post office. If I had known it was the long awaited watch, I would have reminded her... Maybe Monday. Great pics everyone.

Default An Observation on the Forum watch

I notice that the Forum watch photos. by doatzboy and pacifichrono, both show the traditional Amphibia Arrowhead on the hour hand. Mine came through with matching hands(ie., mine has an hour hand that looks exactly like the minute hand, only shorter). Apparently cases weren't the only thing Vostok was running short of! Actually, I kind of like the matching hands. They give the watch a more refined, up-to-date appearance. Did anyone else get matching hour and minute hands? By the way, mine is keeping pretty good time. In the three plus days I've had it , it's gained 29 seconds. The usual back and forth motion of the hands, between 8 P.M. and 1 A.M., didn't work on mine though, and I ended up advancing the hands by 17 days, to get the date set!

Here's a quick pic; looks like I got the matching hands (I think)!

What a flimsy bracelet though--hopefully I can find a better one to fit--and heavier

Randy, a heavy duty mesh would look great on this watch. The 'ministry' case was made for straight-end bracelets.

The order was for a custom dial

The vostok factory is famous for using whats available. Arrow hands were requested but the factory ultimately makes the final decision based on whats available. Amphibias can have both arrow or straight hands.

I do apologize if any of you are unhappy with the finished product. I tried my best and ultimately put in my own money to make this happen, $3.50 papypal fee for every payment rcvd ($85.00)
