Default Cosmetic surgery on my Breitling Pilot bracelet

I bought a Hadley-Roma 'homage' of the Breitling "Pilot" bracelet for my vintage Breitling. The only thing is, the bracelet has
three rows of brushed and two rows of polished links. Since the Breitling's cushion case is all brushed, I decided to mod the
bracelet accordingly.

Here is how the bracelet looked before surgery:

I had some 3M Scotch Brite scouring pads around the house so got a new one of those out, along with some Post-It notes to
mask off the surrounding brushed links.

Using a fair amount of 'elbow grease,' I brushed the target row lengthwise numerous times (actually in both directions) for about
3-4 minutes each. Due to the curving of these links, the newly-brushed surfaces faded to polished near the ends, so I
supplemented the process by removing the masking, holding the bracelet in my left hand, and manually "scrubbing" the link
edges as much as I could. They're still not perfect, but unless you examine the bracelet carefully you wouldn't notice
the difference.

So here is the finished product:

Looks good, but not sure that I would have the nerve to try that. That watch is so great looking. I'm putting my name in if it ever goes on the sales block. Congrats again on the super pictures.

Uhhhhh, why did you have to mask the brushed from the polished when you wanted to make it all brushed and match?

Non the less, looks great.

I figured those rows were already perfect, so why take a chance on screwing them up!

A tip for next time: only rub in one direction. Doing a scrubbing motion leaves the chance of "fish-hooking", where you get brushed finishes with small hooks visible. You seem to have escaped that, though. Nice work!
