Default New watch

Hubby surprised me this weekend with a trip to the outlet mall in Limerick, PA. There is a Movado outlet there, and we went, I thought just to look. Turned out, Hubby was looking for an early birthday present for me. I have had my eye on the Movado 800 series watches for a while, and that's what he got me! It is the 2600027 Series 800 Performance model, in stainless steel. I know not everyone likes Movado, but I like this one!

Looks very nice. I like the 800 series both mens & ladies.

I wish I could get my wife to wear something like that.

Congrats and an Early wish.

That version sure looks good on your wrist.

There are Movados that I like and the 800 is one of them.
But to me, their iconic museum pieces are boring and way tired in design.

Enjoy your new one!

I like the Movados that actually have a real dial, like this one!

Thanks, Guys! I am really liking this watch. I also need to give a shout-out to the folks at the Limerick outlet mall Movado store. Toni, Ahmed, and the staff are courteous, knowledgeable, and VERY helpful.

Very nice Movado..... My wife and I have 3 of them, One is the "boring" Museum piece that some like to "bash".... lol Movado makes a nice watch and it's even better when you get one at their outlet. We have one in Kittery, Maine just over the border from Portsmiuth, NH. They also carry EBEL, which I believe is under Movados "roof" along with a few other brands. I think Corum is one of them, too.

Great looking Movado! I like most of their models due to the simplicity of their designs. Although I also love watches that are quite full of complications. The more complications are sometimes quite fascinating in the details. Then again sometimes a final accessory does not quite look right without a bit of stream line elegance and simplicity.

Chuck, I believe it is Concord, not Corum.

The Movado Group owns Concord, Ebel, ESQ, and Vizio. It is also the manufacturer for the watches sold under the Coach, Juicy Couture, Tommy Hilfiger, and Izod labels.

Yup, I did try on a few Concords (and I loved them at $600-700; MSRP was around $2,500), but I tried on a mens' Corum Trapeze; $679.00 (odd shape).... I thought they told me it was "theirs", too. Maybe they just carry Corum on the side. My wife looked at me wearing the Concord and said buy it if you really want it. But the daughter's tuition bill whispered ($47K) in my ear and I put the watch back.

When I go there in a few weeks, I'll go in and check them out, again and ask.... There were other brands there like Nautica and Hillfiger (?) and I doubt they own those.
